Please remember – if you, a member of your family or someone you have been in contact with has the symptoms or has had contact with someone with symptoms you should arrange for someone else to bring your pet and you should inform us so that we may take more rigorous precautions against infections.
Our dog grooming parlour has re-opened on 15 June 2020 and is now taking bookings. When you arrive for an appointment you should call on arrival and you will be instructed to meet the groomer at the Field Street entrance. the groomer has the facility to take payments by card over the telephone prior to collection – which will help us maintain social distancing.
To allow for social distancing we are now operating a local delivery service for medication and food including flea treatment and wormers. Follow the link: medication requests for further details.
Due to the Covid-19 outbreak we need to alter our opening hours to the following until further notice:
Monday to Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm
Saturday & Sunday Closed
Our dedicated out of hours cover is available outside these hours.
We need to manage the number of clients in the waiting area – please phone to say you are here and wait in your car or outside until we invite you in.
If it’s time for your repeat prescription check we will do a reduced price telephone consultation with a veterinary surgeon at a cost of £20 payable at the point of booking.
You must telephone before you visit – even if you just want to pick up medication or food – we can take payment over the phone and bring it to your car. We are also setting up a medication delivery service
In the practice you will be asked to stand 2 metres away from the staff and any other clients.
Only one person can come with each pet please find someone to stay with your dependents whilst you bring your pet.
If you come in the car it is better to call to let us know you are here and stay in the car until we call you in.
None of us are used to this kind of separation – before Covid-19 such procedures would seem rude to us and no doubt to you – however this is a public emergency and this is what we must do even if we find it uncomfortable.
Consultations generally require us to examine your pet. As a temporary measure, where you are unable to attend the surgery, we may offer a telephone consultation which can be booked through reception at a cost of £20. When a vet can fit a call in they will call you back for the consultation. We are not at his time, able to offer a fixed time for this call back.
Thank you for helping us to keep you, our staff and ultimately your pets healthy and happy.
