Coronavirus Update

Coronavirus (Covid-19) Update

Because of the Coronavitus outbreak, and following guidance from the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) we are not currently carrying out non-essential procedures. That means if your pet is ill or injured we can still offer appropriate care. We still offer 24hr emergency cover working with our out of hours service, MiNightVet.
Due to the resource constraints resultant from the outbreak our opening hours have temporarily changed to Monday to Friday 8.30 am to 5:00 pm and Saturdays 8:30 am to 12:00 noon. If your pet needs urgent treatment outside these hours our emergency out of hours service is available.
If you or any family member have any symptoms of Coronavirus Covid-19 (a persistent cough or fever), have visited a high risk country recently or are self-isolating we all sympathise and wish you and your loved ones a speedy recovery.  But please do not come into the surgery. We are still happy to treat your pet but if they need urgent veterinary care please arrange for someone else to bring them  to us.
When you visit Vet Value, if you wish to wait in the car park please let reception know you are here and either a nurse or receptionist will fetch you when the vet is ready for you.
Please try to arrive on time for your appointment (rather than early) so you are not waiting.
If possible, can you pay with card rather than cash.
Vet Value reception is thoroughly cleaned twice daily and we now have extra cleaning happening especially for surfaces that would be touched by the public. All door handles are being cleaned regularly throughout the day.
Home visits are always strictly on a case by case basis. We need to keep home visits to the absolute minimum as we cannot control the environment for our staff outside our surgery. We are unable to carry out a home visit if you or any family member has any symptoms that could relate to Covid-19.
Our thoughts are with you and your pets and hopefully, if we work together, we will get through this emergency.
If you have an queries just pick up the phone to us.
Also you must read our home page update.
Keep well!
